Downtown Historic District
One of North Carolina’s most historic port cities, New Bern
features many significant Georgian, Federal, Romantic
Revival and Victorian-period houses and public
buildings. Palatial homes and bungalows blend with newly
constructed condos boarding the Neuse River, all within
walking distance of the restored shops, restaurants and
marinas on the Trent River. Prices range from the $200,000’s
for renovation projects upward to $1 Million. The waterfront
townhomes are in the mid $600,000's. |
Ghent Historic District and Trolley Run
Featuring bungalows and larger homes built in the early
1900’s through the 1950’s, this family neighborhood is the
newest of New Bern’s three historic districts on the
National Register of Historic Neighborhoods. This community
is within walking distance of the YMCA with indoor and
outdoor pools, basketball, track, and fitness areas. Ghent
was once assessable to the downtown area by trolley car.

Brices Creek Area
Located southwest of New Bern and south of the Trent River,

Rock Creek Farms, Deer Run, Reedy Creek, and the Home Place

A planned subdivision located in the Hwy 70 East corridor 4
miles from New Bern, this community is in the early stages

center-a village. Lot prices range from $75,000 to $175,000.

Fairfield Harbour
A 3000 acre gated resort is located 20 minutes from downtown
New Bern featuring homes with backdoor boat dockage and
access to the Neuse River, Oriental, and the ICW. Two

family homes from the $190,000’s, condominiums, townhouses,

Greenbrier
This city subdivision is located in close proximity to

speciality shops and only a few minutes from Hwy 70 and the
downtown historic district. Home to retirees and families
alike, this premier neighborhood features 550 homes on 700
acres. Lakes and tall pines characterize the homesites
surrounding the Emerald Golf Club and its 18 hole
championship golf course, olympic pool, and lighted tennis
courts. Single family homes , mainly of brick construction,

Olde Towne Lake Harbour
This prestigious waterfront community with all city services
surrounds a beautiful lake with a canal leading into the

Trent Woods
Bordering the upscale, waterfront New Bern Golf & Country
Club with its 18-hole golf course, tennis courts, pool and
fitness center are several neighborhoods with distinctive
character. Located on tree-lined streets nestled into a
landscape of mature trees and plantings, these neighborhoods
have grown since the 1950's. Therefore, each decade has
representative architecture. Fox Hollow,with its ranch style

Hills ,built in the 60's and 70's is the "grand dame" of the

depending on location. age and size. Bellefern and exclusive
Creek's End offer spacious custom homes priced to the

miles off Hwy 70 East from the downtown center, features an

River Bend
A separate township of 1200 acres with its own government,
yet still New Bern, is a seasoned neighborhood with

dotted along winding canals that lead into the Trent River.
A new marina and clubhouse and a newly restored semi-private
golf club and pool caters to diverse tastes in homes and
activities. The Harbour Town Racquet Club and an 18-hole
golf course are frequented by the active retiree. Pricing
varies according to type home and location. Small duplexes
and some along the canal begin in the $80,000's. Trent River
homes here are considerably higher. |

panoramic view of the Neuse River and downtown New Bern five

This neighborhood borders the 155 acre Croatan National
Forest. Closeby are several smaller subdivisions with very
